Pre-Filing Credit Counseling Now Mandatory
The Bankruptcy Code now requires that you obtain a credit counseling certificate from an approved credit counseling agency prior to filing a Chapter 7 or Chapter 13 case. Clark & Washington has established a relationship with the well known Consumer Credit Counseling Service.
Through our relationship with CCCS, we offer you a fast convenient way to complete this requirement. If you wish for us to assist you in obtaining this certificate, a fee of $50.00 needs to be paid to CCCS via Debit Card or check by phone.
At the conclusion of your meeting with your attorney, CCCS will provide our office a copy of the pre-filing certificate you will need to file with the court as proof of completing this requirement
